Microwave for ice cream?

The user guide on this microwave oven suggests “reheating” to -10C for ice cream. Who’s this made for? Eskimos?

    Have you noticed icecream becomes harder once you keep it in your freezer? It won’t be having the same softness and smoothness it had at the time you bought the icecream.Microwave helps to ‘thaw’ the icecream so that you can have the same smooth and soft icecream once again.

      Takes some effort to wrap the head around that idea. But it makes sense.

    Of course it’s for the Eskimos, they can melt their igloos down to the same squishy mush!
