How does one come up with a name like that?

A former classmate of mine(who was training to be a priest, but kicked out, partly due to the fact he blew whistle and he actually wanted to get out as he made to work like a mule) had told tons of these silly sounding names that are named after their Catholic Religious Orders, this one is named after Augustinians of the Assumption.

He used to crack up whenever he saw “Sisters of […] Immaculate Conception” after he came to know about an inter-order scandal involving one of his seniors, but he never told us about it.

Here Assumption doesnt mean assumption .Assumption means the taking up of the body and soul of the Virgin Mary when her earthly life had ended.A very common name for a hospital that is run by catholics

There’s an Assumption College elsewhere in Kerala. So I think: the word “assumption” also has some religious connotations (assumption of Virgin Mary), that is how.

You been to Sulthan Bathery? (My childhood “ear doctor” worked here in this hospital.) Did you notice the Doctors’ Hospital on the other side of the road? :) (That was supposed to be Doctors’ Co-operative Hospital at some point in the past, if I remember correctly)

Hi ,
Do somebody have any information on the quality of service and track record of this hospital. I am in a position to send my wife for delivery to wayanad as that is her maternal home. So I am in the process of checking for some good hospitals in those parts.
