stem cell banks have been around for a few years, don’t know how many in India though.

they’re at least 3 I know of operating in India courtesy a friend who had a kid earlier this year. I believe Reliance is into this in a big way as well.

  Actually nowadays all major hospitals offer this service through one of the major players.
  Unlike the west there is no “religious baggage” attached with stem cell research in India.
  For all its backwardness, Indian religion has little control over scientific research
