Converting existing authentication databases to OpenID
Earlier this year, I applied to NRC-FOSS for funding for a project to build an open source OpenID Provider wrapper around existing SQL and LDAP-based authentication databases. They haven’t made up their mind yet, but in the meantime I figured I’d release my spec. Here it is.
Gracie and Crowd provide similar functionality, though I’m not sure they serve my exact use case.

Waiting to see your implementation
Good to see you have a specification. What are your plans for implementaion?

We're looking at the PHP OpenID server implementation. It may have already satisfied the need: openidenabled.com/php-standalone-openid-server

Cross Domain Auth
Have you planned or thought how do you implement cross domain auth or single signon ? or a cross of the federated repositories ? like you may have LDAP and DB users?
On the other hand, I have noticed that in the past few month when I have tried to visit this site I get an error saying that the operation was aborted ? any idea whats going on ?
