Signboards all over Brigade road have been defaced like this. Was there some kind of riot recently?

    yeah all Foreign and Foreign named brands were splashed with black color.

      No, only the ones which were in “English and Not in Kannada” were defaced. They did this all over, not even sparing Ad boards near Windsor Manor for example.

            I looked at the D70 version of this picture, and both the signboards had names in Kannada below. Either the activists put them up (but fundamentalists rarely do anything productive), or the shop owners put them up after the defacing (but there’s ink on the Kannada signs too), or the activism was over something else.

            Or maybe the hired goons got carried away and defaced whatever they fancied, which seems most likely.

    Same thing happened to the string of small hoardings below the Double Road flyover. Happened some weeks ago on a weekend.

    I think it was the morality police. they splashed the pierre cardin for good measure.

    There have been other instances as well. The Indiatimes Hoarding at Richmond Circle. Some lingerie hoarding near Hudson Church.The common feature is not foreign brands but skin from what I’ve noticed.
