Good old Hyderabad. Good to see the place hasn't changed much. There are still no traffic lights on these roads. To cross, you use the age old protocol of looking to both left and right. In case of a conflict, the heavyweight wins. Oh, and most roads are outfitted with disco lights that go red, yellow and green, but nobody seems to know what these are for.

    Heh
Saw the same thing while travelling to nagpur. Suicidal auto wallas who cut in front of buses and lots of disco lights. The most memorable expirience was of asking the way

    Q:Where to bangalore road
A: Go straigt and then "aise seedhe jao" After lots of hand gestures we got to know that there is going to be a complicated junction ahead and we have to take not the extreme left but the straight arm on the left hand side When we reached the end it was a simple T junction and we had to go left.

The lights were put up for christmas, and folks were just too lazy to take them down.

That's because it was a Sunday. :p On weekdays, most of the traffic does have to obey the signals.

But at least traffic has space to actually move in Hyderabad...

Bangalore is so dark. :( No street lights. Especially Bannerghatta Road. It's very sad. I like Mumbai because it's so well lit up all the time.
