Reaching out

Reaching Out
Dropped in at [info]vatsa’s place last week, to say hello to his parents. They had this lovely plant reaching out to the skylight.

I tried several times, but somehow the plant seemed lifeless without a bit of the skylight showing.

There are plants that will not only follow the sun through the sky, but also turn around during the night to face the direction in which the sun will rise in the morning.

    Nature is amazing :)

I didn't know that. Do sunflowers do that too?

I'm not sure about sunflowers..although now that you say that I do vaguely remember -something-.......it sounds right...

I was thinking of plants in the primrose family, but there is actually a wide variety....medieval "floral clocks" were quite popular, they actually found different flowers that would open each hour of the day.

I absolutely loved it when u first showed it to me at the exhibition.
Now, i feel it would have been better if u had somehow managed to get an all-black background, with the sky-light reflecting off the leaves.

I got that too, but didn't like it as much. It looked like studio lighting.
