The cobbler’s cat

The cobbler’s cat
In a cobbler’s shop outside Madhavan Park in Jayanagar. I have a close-up with the cat staring at the camera, but the surroundings added a lot of character to the picture.

Sonia Jose
[info]yellosonja joined me later and we went on a clicking rampage around IV block, until the battery died with little warning, and then we switched to the phone camera (see [info]jacemobile). I’m going to carry backup CR2s from now on. Sonia has an amazing eye for pictures. Here’s one she shot.
Talking to the hands

C1 LE has died on me, so I no longer have anything to process RAW files with. What you see here are the low quality JPEG files the camera saved along with the RAW files. As if the camera wasn't expensive enough, one is now expected to throw in a bucketload for software to make the camera usable.

I didn't like the results from dcraw. It gave me very dark pictures.

I use dcraw as a gimp plugin - that gives me a GUI for ajusting brightness before I open...

Try the various command line options...

Do you have a URL to the Gimp plugin? It doesn't work for me.

Installed it here, but it's decoding produces utter garbage. Then I found Nikon View includes a Nikon Editor that does the exact same thing as C1 LE, for free. The interface is shitty, but it does what I need. Blasted 42 MB non-resuming download too.

Thank you for all your wonderful pictures. I have used one of yours (Traffic on BG Road). Please tell me how I can credit you. (If you really don't want me to use it at all, erm, ok, but...please ?!).

I don't have the time to google Creative Commons. But which page do you want me to link to ? You don't want everyone reading my wedding web pages / and other browsing by my web page to get to your blog, do you ? I mean, I certainly don't want them stumbling upon MY blog from reading yours...

The license simply says you must give me credit (full name, please), you may use it for any non-commercial purpose, and you must share modified versions on the same terms. In clearer words.

A link to this page would be nice, but I'll leave that to you: http://jace.seacrow.com/pics/misc/2004/09/1302.jpg/view

The Cobbler's Cat is beautifully captured by the lens... a superb moment...

It pays to have a camera tag along most of the time :)

The cat's definitely one of your best to date. The hues are great.
