All right folks, here it is: my updated
guide to the best Mac OS X software for gear-heads. Includes all the goodies I’ve discovered in the sixteen months since the last update.

I know what this chap was thinking when he pasted that sticker. He was ensuring no one had any doubts what this hunk of metal on wheels was.

Oh well, somebody had to regard the guy as his hero.

Because they can’t show new movies, they’re saying the blockbusters have come back.

Clever copy. But could have done with a little more impact.

Ok, so not everyone is informally dressed. The kids who got new buttons all came in their best clothes. Strangely enough, most of them wore a noose. The guy who’s speaking now is thankfully non-boring, though I’m not actually listening.

At a boring Rotary meeting that mom dragged me to. Have to listen to one boring speech after another. Can’t even escape. Imprisoned by rain. People should be banned from having formal ceremonies in informal clothing. It’s a sham. You dress like you’re going out to dinner, like on any other day, which is why I’m here (heck, I even tucked in my shirt), and then you’re told that you can’t eat until you’ve sat through the mind-numbing ceremonies.

From a propaganda poster for a calligraphy teacher. The man needs to work on his message.

Ad for a Manhattan Visa credit card. Doesn’t say what bank it’s from. I’ve never heard of a Manhattan Bank, only of Chase Manhattan. Are they in India? Fine print in the corner reads “Usual legal fine print applies.”

A status message on Yahoo Messenger. Is a voracious sleeper someone who eats in his sleep?

Just when I was getting used to the sight of people sitting at tables and chewing corn stalks, I see this. The place has gone chinese. The owner says it’s because corn takes too long to cook and customers get impatient.

In marketing school, they teach you brand line extension. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you something else: unauthorised brand line extension. The storekeeper certifies his stock is all pirated.

The Forum’s promise of ample parking has a flaw: they forgot about having a wider gate, so the traffic police now have the extra duty of de-choking Hosur road of vehicles waiting in line.

I was waiting at the barber’s, an hour ago, when another customer stepped in and in squeezing past me, accidentally touched my footwear. Mind you, my footwear, not my foot or any part of my body. I barely felt it, didn’t bother to react.
He whirled around, poked me in the collar (ow!), then retracted his hand to touch his eyes.

I love
Quicksilver. The more I use it, the more functionality I discover. Quicksilver does everything
LaunchBar ever did, and more. Quicksilver is my new command line.
You guys using Windows and Linux don't know what you are missing. Check out
AppRocket for the taste of a cheap rip-off.

The losers at Hutch called twice today, asking if I wanted to switch to post-paid. I hate these people. Why can’t they fix their database and let a sick man sleep in peace? It’s bad enough having weird dreams.

Kishore’s new SE K700i puts the 6600 to shame. Sony Ericsson rules. The only thing I dislike about it is that it doesn’t run Symbian or any other handheld OS. (J2ME doesn’t count.)

Dear Times of India, please stop. Let the man retire while he’s still respected.

A two-piece panorama of the Lalbagh Glass House. I left the camera on automatic and it chose slightly different exposure levels, resulting in the banding at right. I should have put the second on manual and used the same settings it chose for the first. My alignment is also slightly awry.
